All you need is a four year bachelor’s degree in any major with a 2.5 GPA.  A Program Advisor will work with you to develop a winning strategy to earning your Professional Certificate.

1 Get Eligible

The quality preparation we provide combines individualized test strategy, flexible training, and everything you need to get hired and begin a career in teaching.


We provide guidance and resources to help you prepare for state exams. You will need to pass the required Praxis II Subject Area Exam and the Praxis II Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) Exam that correspond to the area in which you are teaching.

Training Coursework

2 Start Teaching

Teach for two academic semesters with full pay and benefits as the teacher of record on your first Alternative Route Certificate, which will be your Internship Year. Receive ongoing support from your Field Supervisor, your on-campus mentor, and our expert Program Advisors while completing your Internship Year requirement. The Alternative Route Certificate is valid for one year and must be renewed annually for two additional years while working towards Professional Certification.

3 Fully Certified

After completing the program requirements during your Internship Year, and successfully teaching for two additional years, you will earn your Professional Certification and be a fully certified teacher in the state of South Carolina!
